Here is an interview with Mrs. Odette, the owner of MES Joies International:
Mrs. Odette, can you introduce your company to our readers?
“Good morning! Honestly, I feel honoured to talk about my company’s origins and business model.
My company, Mes Joines International Ltd, is a well-established company importing top-quality products for scalp and hair care. I distribute these products to hairdressers through a network of commercial consultants”.
When did you get to know Fisiocosmetica and how did you start working with them?
“Fortunately, I met the owners of Fisiocosmetica, Mr Ennio and Ms. Silvia, during Cosmoprof Bologna in 1996. At that time, I was looking for an Italian manufacturer working primarily with essential oils. At first sight, Fisiocosmetica seemed to be both suitable and functional for my needs”.
What makes Fisiocosmetica particularly suitable for your market?
“Without doubt its commitment to manufacturing niche, curative products, but also their approach to business which is very flexible and adaptable to all my needs”.
How has the collaboration with Fisiocosmetica evolved over the years?
“Little by little, thanks to the trust that has been gained from working with them. I have increased the quantities of products in the green healing line and I believe that for many years, I have been one of the most important customers for Fisiocosmetica in terms of turnover”.
How is your sales network organised
“We distribute in all regions of Taiwan, thanks to many business consultants that take care of building excellent relationships with hairdressers”.
What is the Taiwanese hair and beauty market like now?
“Much more attention is certainly being paid to the quality of products, because the perception of beauty has evolved over time. For the success of my company, I need to be supported by manufacturers with a high-level production culture, such as Fisiocosmetica”.
What does a brand need to be successful in Taiwan?
“It has to be genuine, functional, aesthetically beautiful with good packaging, a good fragrance and have consistency. In short, a perception of high quality in every detail”.
What are the best-selling Fisiocosmetica products in your territory?
“I’ll mention two products: Calm 31 Lotion and Shampoo Trapix, specific for oily hair. In Taiwan, there is very high humidity in the air and this is why most people suffer from oily hair, as is the case all over this part of Asia”.
What are your plans for the future?
“To expand the market both inside Taiwan and beyond its borders. I feel this could be possible, thanks to Fisiocosmetica”.
