Brazil made a bold statement on the international beauty stage during Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2025, one of Europe’s premier cosmetics trade fairs, held from the 20th to the 23rd March.
With a record 62 participating companies, the Beautycare Brazil internationalisation project, led by ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrances Industry) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), reported nearly US$5 million in business during the event. Over the next 12 months, the project expects to close almost US$33 million in deals.
The Brazilian pavilion attracted buyers and distributors from across the globe, showcasing the country’s vast biodiversity and cutting-edge cosmetic innovations. The presence of key Brazilian representatives, including Tiago Milani (International Business Manager at ABIHPEC and representative of Beautycare Brazil.), Mr. Hadil da Rocha Vianna (Consul General of Brazil in Milan), and Luiz Maria Pio Corrêa (Deputy Consul General), highlighted the event’s strategic importance for Brazil’s global beauty ambitions.
“These numbers are the result of both the work of Beautycare Brazil and Brazilian companies, which are always at the forefront and seeking innovation,” said Tiago Milani. “Brazil’s abundant supply of ingredients—especially from the Amazon—and our national passion for personal care make us a major player in the global cosmetics market.”
A New Format for a Diverse Market
This year’s Brazilian exhibition adopted a new format, organizing the 62 companies into four distinct marketing focuses: Professionals, Retail, Outsourcing, and Green Zone. This segmentation reflected the diversity of Brazil’s beauty industry, improved buyer navigation and targeted business matchmaking at the fair.
From sustainable, Amazon-based ingredients to advanced haircare and skincare technologies, Brazil’s pavilion became a hotspot for innovation and eco-conscious solutions, aligning with global trends in natural and responsible beauty.
