Considered to be the most major beauty trade fair in Japan, the 11th COSME Week [TOKYO] will be held from January 13th – 15th 2021, as scheduled.
The physical event will take place in the usual venue at Tokyo Big Sight. For the occasion, the organizers have worked cautiously to guarantee that the exhibition will be held following the guidelines for Covid-19 control measures stipulated by the government, municipalities, and the exhibition industry, in order to ensure the exhibitors’ and visitors’ safety.
Reed Exhibitions Japan, the organization that has been hosting exhibitions for over 33 years, firmly believes: “exhibitions, in principle, should be held as scheduled under any circumstances.” Nevertheless, the unprecedented situation created by the worldwide Pandemic requires adaptations to the program.
One of the most significant improvements for this edition is a free service for visitors who cannot visit the show in person.
To maximize the experience and the profitability of visits, a Remote Show Management Service has been implemented to help buyers and other professionals locate the most suitable products and exhibitors. Furthermore, a specialized interpretation service will be available to assist online participants to organize business meetings and to facilitate communication. The event will also be broadcast live, directly from the venue, so that people can see the booths and main activities from a remote location.
COSME Tokyo was one of the last beauty fairs to take place in January 2020, just before the spread of the pandemic. It registered 28,670 professional visitors and showcased 860 exhibitors from 25 different countries.
For the 2021 hybrid version of COSME Tokyo, over 1,000 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors are expected, confirming this as the most important event for the Japanese cosmetics industry, thanks in part to the high calibre of buyers who enjoy visiting the show.
