Russian Hair & Beauty Industry Celebrates 30th Anniversary of InterCHARM

Despite the ongoing international crisis, Russia’s most famous domestic hair & beauty fair is ready for the off. InterCHARM, the international exhibition for the perfumery and cosmetics industry will be held from October 25th – 28th 2023 at Moscow’s Crocus Expo.

Organizers are expecting to beat last year’s attendance figures, meaning that at least 36,000 visitors from 37 countries, plus 83 different Russian regions are scheduled to arrive.

Western visitors are likely to be very scarce, but for Russia, InterCHARM remains the key professional event for manufacturers, suppliers, beauty businesses, retailers and distributors. It is a great opportunity to expand business and find new distributors and end customers. Do not forget that the domestic market alone represents a huge opportunity with a population of over 150 million people.

InterCHARM is extremely important to the hair & beauty industry in Russia. It represents the main chance to showcase brand-new companies and strengthen the positions of well-known international brands in the local market.

Last year’s visitors and exhibitors declared to be satisfied with the result of their visit to InterCHARM especially for the quality of Professional contacts and top executives and the content of the conferences.

The 2023 edition will offer a large selection of exhibiting categories: cosmetics and cosmetology, salon, clinic and spa equipment, products for distribution and retail, fragrances, hairdressing, make-up, eyebrows and eyelashes. Furthermore, the Russian manufacturing sector will propose beauty, raw materials, contract manufacturing and packaging for beauty products, as well as NailCHARM. There will also be a rich business program with specialists in different areas that will offer new tools and suggestions on how to take each business to a new level.

Despite international sanctions, it looks like Russian production and Russian brands are actively developing. The State, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, is allocating a considerable number of subsidies for their development, so the demand for raw materials and packaging from China, Korea, India and Turkey will grow. Following the Russian salon industry development, equipment for beauty salons and clinics will also increase. After large multinational companies left the Russian market in March 2022, new opportunities have been mushrooming for independent hair & beauty and perfumery brands from many countries. Statistics affirm that in this period hundreds of foreign brands, even from Western countries, have started new businesses in Russia.
